Finally an easy way to explain Twitter
One of the most challenging and difficult things for me to do is explain what twitter is to people. Well the folks over at Common Craft have a made a video called Twitter in Plain English and it is a great explanation of twitter and why so many people love it. Below is the video, so enjoy and I’m sure it explains twitter a lot better than I ever could. Also feel free to follow me on twitter at twitter.com/smojo

During my cross country trip last October I made a stop at the Cadillac Ranch on the outskirts of Amarillo, Texas. The Cadillac Ranch is an art sculpture that resides on the side of I-40. It consists of 10 different Cadillac’s with their noses buried in the ground. This place was just so odd that [...]

For a while now motorcycle vlogs have been something I really enjoy watching. Now let me tell that I have never driven a motorcycle in my life. This might be one of the reasons I love watching these types of vloggers. Maybe in the back of my mind I always wanted to be the guy [...]

It is Easter and probably the most popular thing to do for Easter is color eggs with your family. This year Justine took a web 2.0 twist to the old tradition of coloring eggs and decorated eggs with web 2.0 logos. Lots of my favorites are in there such as Twitter, Google and Qik. I [...]

A lot has been going on in the world of video these days. Yahoo and Livevideo.com both came out with services to broadcast yourself live to the world. Another big rumor going around was that Revver was looking to sell. Reportedly they were trying to sell for between 300k to 500k. Well those reports [...]

Twitta Twitta Twitta, it is something I’m constantly checking all day long. One of the most popular things on Twitter and something I love about the site is the use of the term Overheard. You are able to track words on twitter but overheard is not one of them. My thinking is that it is [...]

I already know about Twitter, so I didn’t bother watching the whole video. Anyway, I find it amusing how it seems like there’s actually very little “what are you doing” traffic on Twitter. Most people use it like a big, frenetic chatroom, which is totally cool.

Yeah it is a big conversation for the most part. I had a great twitter moment yesterday in downtown Tempe. I was heading to a coffee shop and 2 people who know me just from twitter saw me and started sending tweets that they just saw me. Then a 3rd twitter person was also in the downtown area saw this. We ended up meeting up for a little bit. I love twitter for that.

The video is awesome. I already know about Twitter, but I watched it anyway. It must have taken a lot of effort to make.
I’ve had a couple of moments like that too, smojo. Also involving meeting people for coffee in downtown Tempe.
