Rumors are flying around the internet that Yahoo is going to offer a “lifecasting” service. It is reported that the service is only open to Yahoo employees for the moment. The url for the new service looks like it will be http://live.yahoo.com/. It is currently giving a 403 forbidden error when you go to that address so we are all blocked out. I’m hoping Yahoo will make a formal announcement about the service. We need more details.
One thing that is kind of annoying me is everyone using the term “lifecasting”. This new service will have very little lifecasting going on. My predictions are that this new Yahoo service will be just another chatcasting site. What I mean by chatcasting is users will be sitting in front of their computer with the web cam on them and they will be chatting with viewers. This is not lifecasting! Lifecasting to me is broadcasting your everyday events. It is about being mobile and letting others peek in to what you are doing for the day. This is going to be just another web cam site where 15 year old girls fire up their cam and dance around while a bunch of horny guys say immature and stupid comments. We will have to wait and see but I don’t think anything new or innovative will be coming from Yahoo’s new service. What do you think about it?
Ok so things are heating up over at Viddler.com. User dentlizard created a group for a contest called Viddler Idol. I don’t think I have to explain the contest. It is pretty self explanatory. Since I love to sing I decided to throw a video into the Idol contest. Unfortunately I missed the deadline for the contest and uploaded my video a day late.
There are some great videos that got submitted so here are my 2 favorites in the contest. My favorites are from Claire(cmh05u) and Caitlyn(kissmecait).
I love many things in life. Pepsi, technology, rock music, the interweb and of course the love of a good burger. Monday night my roommate Ricky and I decided to take on the one pounder challenge at Cheeburger Cheeburger. If you finished this challenge they take your picture and post you up on the wall. Currently there are about 20 people who had completed it. We had previously took on a challenge at heart attack grill where you had to eat 2 lbs of beef in there quadruple bypass burger. Ricky completed the heart attack grill challenge. I however could not finish the quad burger. Mainly because it did not taste all that great.
Let me tell you that the burger at Cheeburger Cheeburger was one of the best I’ve ever had. They use Black Angus beef so it was a good quality cheeseburger. Ricky and myself both completed the challenge quickly. It was an easy challenge I might add mostly because of the taste of the burger was so good. You just want to keep eating! The one pounder costs a little over 10 dollars and it is something I will probably get the next time I go. Our pictures are now up on the wall at Cheeburger Cheeburger which is located in Tempe marketplace. So if you go get a bite to eat here try and find me on the wall.
